Me and my friend have a big argument about DFU mode.
Oct 24, 2011 So technically you don't need a computer to enter DFU Mode. But this still is external hardware as you suggested. The Device must be touched to enter DFU Mode. It also requires a functioning Home Button and Power Button. If these are faulty, then the Logic Board contacts of the Home and Power Buttons must be activated physically, not by software.
